OERN R. STUGE M.D, MBA
Dr. Stuge is an international executive with 30+ years of experience from the Life Science sector.
Since 2010, Dr. Stuge is the Chairman of Orsco Lifesciences AG. Through the company he holds several executive & non-executive board memberships & advisory roles. He has participated in Enterprise Development of different companies & successfully sold/listed 9, including a Unicorn (Pulmonx as of 1st trading day).
Prior to founding Orsco, Dr. Stuge worked for 12 years for Medtronic, Inc. in different roles including Senior Vice President (“SVP”) & President EMEA, Canada & Emerging Markets, and SVP & President Cardiac Surgery. He was a member of the Medtronic Executive Committee & Operating Committee.
Dr. Stuge led a successful transformation of Medtronic’s global Cardiac Surgery business. Under his leadership, Medtronic founded the Structural Heart Division and launched the first commercially available per cutaneous heart valve in the world.
Previous to Medtronic, Dr. Stuge held senior positions at Abbott Laboratories Inc., as well as being the CEO of a Norwegian startup, Medinor A/S. He began his career as a practicing physician and he also holds an MBA from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.
